What it Means to be a First Generation Rancher with Erica Carduillo
In this episode of Ag Talk, Venessa is sitting down with Erica Carduillo, a first-generation farmer and rancher from Colorado. Erica shares her transition from city life in the suburbs to farming on a 33-acre property in Wellington, Colorado. She discusses the unexpected emotional and spiritual journey of raising and processing animals, the importance of utilizing every part of the animal, and the support she's received from the agricultural community. Erica also talks about the benefits of value-added products like beef tallow for both cooking and skincare, and the power of social media in building community and business.
